I was attempting a cutty a while back and found a huge flaw in the shank. I decided to cut it off and try an extension. The extension here is deer antler. I turned down a delrin sleeve that runs the inside length of the antler. Please let me know what you think.

I think you did a good job on the bowl shaping, although it looks much more like a canted billiard than a cutty to me. It looks like the shank, antler extension, and the stem all fit very nice and flush with one another. The antler does look a bit out of place to me though. Partly because of the size difference between the shank and extension, I know you did mention that flaw in the shank, but partly because I dont think very long pieces of horn or antler work well as extensions. Try some bamboo next time if you can manage to get a hold of some. I think a piece of white bamboo, of equal length to the horn you used, would look smashing with the color of the stain and the cant of the bowl!
