I recently found a remastered photo from the civil war.
Can anyone tell me what kind of pipes they have in the picture?

i have no idea but that is such an amazing picture. even tho im canadian, i have a deep interest in american history (and pipes) so this picture is really incredible.

No idea about the pipes, but he guy laying down on the right with the dog is George Armstrong Custer.

Interesting to see the various shapes that far back in time.
Whoever did the clean up and color on the photo did a hell of a job.

No idea, but it seems that long stems were in. Maybe the nosewarmers were more popular with the navy.

Middle center standing is Matthew McConaughey. Also a vampire believe it or not.
