Interesting. Longer shank or larger bowl, or taller bowl or thinner shank, etc... Maybe little adjustments to any of these would develop the shape. The Smoking Yeti wrote:There for a while I could NOT figure out why my slots were turning out so badly.... then I figured it out.d.huber wrote:IAWE

I think the big thing for me, which hasn't been mentioned, is the high center of gravity on this pipe.
The diamond shank causes the bowl to feel to visually delicate/light on the bottom- it doesn't feel like a proper billiard bowl. It feels a bit amorphous really. If you could find a way to lower the center of mass to give it a more billiard-like feel, I think that would do wonders for the composition. I recognize this is difficult with a diamond shank, but it's worth thinking about.
I think you have a point. I like these ideas. Since I have yet another commission for one of these I might take the liberty of playing with the lines a bit.PremalChheda wrote:Interesting. I noticed the same thing, Micah, but couldn't articulate it in my post so I deleted it. The bottom line drifts way low in relation to the bowl. The Smoking Yeti wrote:There for a while I could NOT figure out why my slots were turning out so badly.... then I figured it out.d.huber wrote:IAWE
