Wow !!!!
Nice, very nice, I like it.
That's a very good idea. The first pipe must be a great reading pipe.
I like the finition of the second one, very well done.
David, I really like the shape of the stummel on the first one, I would like to see the drilling for this one. Also you seem to have no problem with rustication. Good work, keep it up! The owners will be proud I am sure.

Opinions! Everyone has one and everyone thinks the other persons stinks
Lake... dang! After completing my first stem inlay of oak, which I had honestly never seen before, I've seen 2 people who have done an inlay of oak... I thought I was being original! You and Kurt H. copied my idea!
Lake, what is your market?? How are people finding your pipes, etc? Just curious... I'll post pics of my inlay when I can find the time to snap some!
I took a hit on the first two I sold there... but then when I started getting good feedback... and some return customers.. I was able to fetch a better price.
I dont get much for my pipes to begin with.... when you consider what pipes go for.....
What it does do, is give several times the amount I paid in material so I can make larger orders of briar....
This is all a hobby to me. one that makes a small amount of "Mad Money".
thank you on the rustication comment.. .. i really dont sink much time into it at all. and its all done with dremel... I just start out with large cutting bits and go back over with small random shape cutting bits.
Thanks! I Put a different pic in the gallery if anyone is interested in seeing that one.
some days it's just not worth chewing through the leather straps.
