I retired and started smoking a pipe again. I used to smoke one years ago, but life was too fast then for a pipe. Because the cost of a good pipe is very expensive I decided to make my own so I would have a good pipe rotation in place. Now after well over a dozen pipes already made…I’m still making them...heehee! I’m not looking for any suggestions, but if you see something that could be commented on…please do…but no laughing out loud! The first 2 pictures are of the one I'm presently working on.

Re: Retirement hobby
Do you like how they smoke? As you're making these for you, I think that'd be the biggest question

Re: Retirement hobby
Love the white one, has a mushroom feel to it. How do you get your briar that light color?
Re: Retirement hobby
Thanks for the comments! Yeah...I make them for my pleasure and they have to stand up on their own, because I can't smoke in the house
and I have a spot on my back porch with a table and chair and it's easoer if they stand up. Most of them smoke great! I like the thick walls. The white one is the one I'm presently working on...that's just the color of the briar...but I'll probably dye it when finished.
Thanks again for looking at them, that's part of the joy of pipe making!
