This billiard has a blue Cumberland stem with push tenon and Delrin lined mortise. The fitted case is lined in velvet and wrapped in genuine leather with hand made brass hardware.

that was my thoughts exactly...LatakiaLover wrote: I thought raw meer wasn't available outside Turkey.
Somewhere along the line, I got the impression that meer cases were made from paper mache... I tried that, it didn't turn out so well. In desperation, I sacrificed a CAO meerschaum case to dissection and discovered that its guts were made of balsa. Lemme tell ya, after years of hacking away at briar, balsa cuts like hot butter! So, the structural material is balsa!LatakiaLover wrote:Sweet.![]()
What's the case structural material?
Also, did you cut down a bigger pipe or something? I thought raw meer wasn't available outside Turkey.
What are you talking about? I didn't...wisemanpipes wrote: WHY did you decide to try and suede blast it?
Already sold...LatakiaLover wrote:Also, I noticed it isn't listed on your site. Too new for that, or was it already sold so there was no point?
Hmm... maybe I didn't have my lighting adjusted properly to catch the reflections...?wisemanpipes wrote:sorry walt! I swear I didn't mean to offend or anything. you posted another meer on IG and it looked a million times shinier. is this a matte finish? I just thought you quickly suede blasted it... my bad
also it just seemed like there was a ring of smooth meer near the stem like you do when you blast.
