I actually don't remember where I got the coral from. I have collected nature things since my childhood, so various objects would come to me through many sources. I've since lost track.
I stabilize the coral with CA glue.

Cherry wood, hand harvested, dried in the microwave. African blackwood bowl with canary wood inlay. This inlay is inset about 1/4" so any movement within the wood from smoking the pipe will not make this inlay pop out. And the rim can be restored many times without worrying about sanding throug...
I love a good burl, the more wild, the better. I think i just got really lucky with this one. The central rings fit right in the middle of the bowl, while the grain changes direction to flow into the straight bamboo stem, thank you wood gods.
Some of you may have read this stuff on my blog, but..if not.. The bamboo stem was carefully roasted to enhance the colours within the cane. The fibers of the bamboo glow with hues of orange, yellow, and green. These colours wouldn’t appear as varied and rich in non-roasted bamboo. Care is taken to ...

Thanks Yeti! I use a Canon T2i body, lenses I use most often are the Canon 50mm 1.8 D, SMC takumar 28mm 3.5, and the SMC takumar 55mm 1.8. The takumar lenses are old m42 screw mount, so you'll need an adapter to use them on a Canon body. They are only usable on Canon, because of the distance between...
