DAMN !!!![urlhttp://www.pipemakersforum.com/albums/Gabrieli/Picture_593.jpg][/url]
no problem.. and for future picture posting, do the following:
1.copy the address of the image: http://www.blah.com/gallery/directory/picture.jpg
2.Paste the address in your post, then highlight the whole thing.
3. with the address highlighted, go up to the toolbar and click the IMG button. This will put the proper tags around the address.
Now, rather than posting it, click the Preview button down below to make sure you can see it. If you can, then post the message.
easy, peazy, one-two-threesie.. :thumb:

Some experiences with Tagua nut. If you sand it too hard, it will discolour (yellow).Be carefull with fine edges they are vulnerable to chipping. The nut has a large void in the centre so cutting it to maximize the amount usable is very tricky. Other than that its wonderfull stuff. Myself I'm wondering if anybody has used the large nuts and do you get more material out of each nut?

Thanks Nick,
The stem end of the shank is french boxwood, connected with a delrin tenon, mortised to accept the stem tenon, the darker part is actually briar, it's not a seperate piece. I etched it with a writing burr with a dremel, and sstained it to look like a seperate piece. That etching I've seen used by Rad Davis , and Tonni Neillson sucessfully. I don't have the abillity to do sandblasting, and had to get creative.
Kind Regards,
Dan
