I don't have a lot of equipment. Just a chuck attached to a drill, and a lot of hand tools. Do you have any suggestions on how to make a metal pipe ring with this poor equipment... :) Sorry for my bad english and thanks to all the people that will contribute to answer. PS. i still don't have a lathe...

Noob question on staining part II
After i've used the dye ( usually fiebing's), the colours on the pipe are always opaque. What can i do to improve the colours and to make them appear less opaque? Do i need to buff the pipe? How?

noob question ON STAINING
I've just purchased some fiebing's leather dye. I am wondering if it is supposed to be used as it is or if it needs some dilution. If it needs dilution, what do i use ( i'm guessing alcool, but, if you can, be precise with the kind of alcool) and how much?
Thank you

Thank you

the shape of a billiard pipe
Can you explain in depth how you shape a billiard pipe? I don't have a lathe, so if you want to help me, try to explain the procedure for people who only have saws, files and rasps. Thank you
